Riggins & Associates Counseling Services was an outpatient addiction and mental health treatment center in Fremont, Nebraska. They provided individual and family counseling for children, adolescents and adults. I’m impressed that they also provided compulsive gambling counseling. This clinic is now closed.

The clinic accepted Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance plans. If you had any out of pocket costs, they were paid at the time of your appointment.

Riggins & Associates delivered evaluations and evidence based care for substance use disorders. They offered drug and alcohol evaluations for adults and youth as well as therapy using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

The treatment process likely included identifying the root causes of substance use and reprocessing traumatic experiences via eye movement and desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Challenging unhelpful behaviors and thought processes may have been part of the program as well.

They also identified triggers, practicing healthy coping skills, and learning essential life skills such as constructive communication and building helpful relationships.

For adults, the clinic could help with blended family counseling, parenting skills, stress management, communication skills and anger management.
