About RBHA NORTH CAMPUS

If you have concerns with substance misuse and mental health concerns, you'll have luck in Virginia. Richmond Behavioral Health Authority stands ready to assist adults from all sorts of backgrounds. You'll find their main office situated in the state capital of Richmond. From here, they can connect you to inpatient and outpatient options.

Gender-Specific Care

They provide treatment for men and women and their various Richmond sites cater to the unique challenges they face. This gender-specific program includes counseling to address the potential underlying causes of substance use.

They also have trauma education, anger management, and recovery management groups where others can support their progress and provide healthy interaction. Men won’t get bored with only having traditional treatment. As we noted, they also have evening gardening groups and can pursue vocational and educational activities of interest.

We also found their team helps prepare men for the future after treatment. They offer a transition plan for ongoing care with housing assistance and possibly 12 Step program attendance. This service offers a less intense setting where men can begin achieving more independence.

HOPE in the North Campus

They understand that many people struggling with addiction often have co-occurring mental health concerns. Their North Campus location provides help for men, women, and their children. Located in the Highland Park area of Richmond, the 13-acre campus houses the H.O.P.E. (Holistic Opportunities for Promise and Empowerment) program that targets underlying conditions that may have led to substance use and includes wraparound services for continued recovery treatment. The program is also unique because it allows children to accompany their parents during treatment.
