About Responsibility House, Inc.

Responsibility House is a community substance abuse and mental health care program in Terrytown, Louisiana. They have a full range of programs for adults, including a residential program for men as well as intensive and general outpatient programs. All levels of care include co-occurring disorder treatment.

The programs at this location are centered on accountability. In the outpatient programs, you'll work with others in counseling to develop life and coping skills. The residential program also includes peer elements but is delivered in a setting that's more highly structured. The residential program has a 12 Step component and requires you to have a job in the second phase of treatment.

I like that they provide help for your sober support network, too. Whether this be friends, family, or both, they can get their own assistance while you're in treatment. It's important that those in your support system know the best ways they can help you. Family treatment sessions are also available.

Staff will help you with discharge planning once you complete the program.
