About Resonance Center for Women
Resonance provides substance addiction treatment for women in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They offer intensive outpatient care, allowing more flexibility for those who prefer to live at home and continue working or attending school while getting treatment.
The program helps women referred from Drug Court, Community Sentencing, and Probation and Parole systems. It can also help some avoid prison terms by completing the program. The team at Resonance believes that addiction requires treatment as a solution, not incarceration.
Women have a safe, secure atmosphere to begin recovery. They can discuss struggles and experiences openly in a trusted environment. Often they’ll uncover the root causes of their addiction issues and develop methods to live a life without substances.
You’ll have licensed therapists offering trauma-informed treatment specifically for women’s addiction challenges. They use methods like Moral Reconation Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to assist with faster healing and recovery times from trauma. These therapies may also help with anxiety and stress.
Individual therapy sessions allow time alone with a professional where you can talk about personal issues that may interfere with your recovery. Together, you can work on coping strategies for life’s stressors, begin recognizing substance use triggers, and design relapse prevention methods for the future.
Group sessions provide opportunities to share your thoughts and feelings with others in recovery who may offer insightful feedback that relates to your recovery. It also allows you to have a support network of people who share your goal of lifelong sobriety.
There are enrichment programs, like therapeutic gardening that offer a different method of relaxation and stress reduction. They can also help with improved cognitive skills, socialization, and increased memory.
The center has dual certification status. They are accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS).
