About River Ridge Behavioral Health – Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health Chemical Dependency

Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health Chemical Dependency Center is a treatment program for drug and alcohol addiction in Vicksburg, Mississippi. This location is part of River Ridge Behavioral Health, formerly known as Warren Yazoo Behavioral Health. It’s an advanced addiction treatment center that has multiple levels of care to guide your recovery journey.

The main program here is a residential rehab for drugs and alcohol. It’s a 25 bed residential center for adult men and women. While you’re here they’ll work with you to create an individualized treatment program that focuses on your own strengths and challenges and addresses your specific needs for recovery.

Your program will be a combination of different treatment techniques. You’ll have individual counseling and group counseling as well as educational classes in recovery skills and relapse prevention. You’ll have peer support groups like AA or NA, and you’ll also enjoy community building activities with others who are in recovery. This provides fellowship with people who are in your shoes.

I think it’s important to note that this program can also help you with any co-occurring mental health conditions. They have psychiatric care available so you can get back to a point of wellness and stability. Another way they help with this is through non clinical recovery support services like social support and linkage to other resources that can help you establish a stable life in recovery. These can include employment services, healthcare support and housing assistance.

Not everyone needs residential rehab, though, or you might have already finished residential treatment and need a less intensive level of support. They have an intensive outpatient program (IOP) here, too, that offers a consistent schedule of treatment several days a week while you live at home.

Clients have overall positive things to say about this treatment center. They say that the staff is kind and understanding. Some do say, though, that there’s a lot of turnover in therapists, so you may have to switch counselors during your treatment.
