This residential facility for adult men serves those with severe mental illness and those with a dual diagnosis of mental and substance use disorders. Residential Treatment for Men in Franklin County
The residential treatment program has 24 hour staffing by a licensed social worker. They provide mental health and substance use counseling along with life skills education and medication monitoring.
The evidence based approaches used at the Redmond House include solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and the trans-theoretical change model.
I’m glad to see that residents are taught a variety of skills to help them in recovery, including communication, problem solving and life management skills. They also help residents develop healthy coping mechanisms and learn to manage their overall wellness.
Fresh A.I.R. Gallery to Educate the Community
One unique element of the Southeast Healthcare program is their Fresh A.I.R. Gallery. A.I.R. stands for “Artists in Recovery.” The gallery displays the work of people in their programs or in the community and is designed to break down the stigmas around mental health issues and addiction.
I love that they have this creative outlet for their clients and that it’s serving the community in such a neat way. There are two galleries, both in Columbus.

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a form of psychotherapy commonly used in addiction recovery. Based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), moral reconation therapy (MRT) helps clients recognize unhealthy and/or harmful thought patterns and to replace them with more positive and productive ones. MRT is designed to empower clients to make healthier life choices and to more effectively align their behaviors with their moral values.
Levels of Care
For those who need intensive treatment, inpatient rehab in Ohio includes round-the-clock clinical care.and supervision. At this level of care, programs generally involve multiple addiction counseling sessions per week, which may include individual, group, and family counseling.
