About Recovery Network Baltimore
Recovery Network in Baltimore, Maryland, is a state certified mental health and addiction treatment provider. They have a variety of staff members available to help you, including therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors. Clients can receive both residential and outpatient treatment at this facility.
Recovery Network provides a low intensity and high intensity residential treatment program. The high intensity program is designed for clients who have a substance use disorder and a serious psychological or social issue that puts them at risk of harm. You’ll receive 24 hour care from trained counselors to reduce the imminent danger and prepare you for outpatient treatment. The length of stay in this program is one to three months.
The low intensity residential treatment program allows individuals to stay in the facility and receive a minimum of 5 hours of treatment. Similar to the high intensity program, trained staff will be available 24 hours a day, and the length of your stay will generally be 90 to 180 days.
The outpatient services available at Recovery Network include traditional or intensive outpatient treatment, aftercare services, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). One thing I noticed is that the medication that this facility uses for MAT is buprenorphine. It’s effective for reducing drug cravings and preventing withdrawal symptoms.
The intensive outpatient program is for individuals who have a high risk of relapse and need additional support. You’ll participate in 9-12 hours of treatment involving group and individual counseling. Clients are expected to go to group sessions three to four times per week.
I think one of the best services at this location is the psychiatric rehabilitation program. It helps clients to develop independent living skills. You’ll learn how to improve your time management, acquire employment, enjoy healthy social relationships, and other important skills that can support your recovery.
Baltimore has a variety of unique attractions, including the National Aquarium and the Fort McHenry National Monument. The city also has numerous shops and crab shacks worth checking out. A bit closer is Jones Falls and its accompanying trail.
