About Psych and Psych Services

Psych and Psych Services is a CARF accredited treatment clinic located in Elyria, Ohio. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and services to adults, adolescents and their families who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance abuse disorders. They also have a veterans program. They accept private insurance and Medicaid.

During your time off from treatment you can go for a nature walk at Cascade Park or the Rowland Nature Preserve. This gives you an opportunity to clear your mind and connect with nature while providing relaxation from the stress you could be experiencing in your healing journey.

Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) is eight weeks long. Individual and group counseling gives you an opportunity to discuss emotions, thoughts, unhealthy behaviors and challenging topics. Some of the topics will be developing decision making skills, raising emotional awareness, strengthening family dynamics, and ways to manage stress. You’ll also learn decision making and communication skills along with social skills and self esteem.

Along with their addiction treatment, the center has some unique special programs. They can connect you to eating disorder treatment which is helpful because eating disorders often co occur with substance misuse. They also have a domestic violence program and sex offender treatment for those involved in the justice system that have court ordered requirements.

After treatment is finished there is an aftercare program that helps you develop long term relapse prevention skills. Aftercare is required after the IOP and most clients attend at least six sessions. Sessions are one hour long and meet once a week.
