About Provo Canyon School – Springville Campus
Provo Canyon School Springville Campus is a private mental and behavioral health center that’s located in Springville, Utah. Situated just south of Provo, it’s about a 45 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City. The Joint Commission accredited facility offers intensive residential treatment and academic instruction for boys aged 12 through 17 and girls aged 13 through 17.
Compassionate, Expert Treatment for Kids with Complex Needs
One of Provo Canyon School Springville Campus’ distinct features is that it is designed specifically to support young people facing especially complex behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges. If your loved one is a danger to themselves or others or has been unsuccessful in other treatment programs, this may be a good fit for them.
The team at Provo Canyon School takes a holistic approach to treatment and seeks to help teens heal and flourish. They believe everyone has the potential to change their perspective, behaviors, and life trajectory, no matter their history or current state.
Throughout students’ time at the school, staff routinely reevaluate their progress and adjust their treatment plan as needed to support them in reaching their goals. I think that’s fantastic, since not all alcohol and drug rehab programs are this flexible and responsive to clients’ individual needs.
In addition to personalized, trauma informed therapies, Provo Canyon School offers life skills training, education, physical activity, healthy meals, and social opportunities, all within a structured, safe, and comfortable environment. I really appreciate that because all of these factors are important for students’ overall health and wellbeing.
A Sterling Record of Student Satisfaction
When students leave Provo Canyon School, they have the opportunity to take a survey to assess their experience. Over the past several years, a vast majority of students have rated their experience as exceptionally positive. Out of 2,139 students discharged between 2018 and 2024, 86% took the survey. That 86% gave an average satisfaction rating of 4.79 out of 5.
“I went to this place and it was the best experience,” one former student said. “I'm so glad my mom sent me there this year to get better with my mental health.”
