Promise of Hope Cochran Men is a faith-based substance use recovery program that focuses on Bible study and 12 Step programs. They have a women’s program and one for men. Their men’s program is located in Cochran, Georgia. The men’s home has been around since 2011. They charge a non-refundable registration fee as well as weekly dues. More than half of the fees to operate the program come from donations.
Long-Term Residential Treatment for Men
This program can house up to 24 residents for a period of 12 months. Extensions can be granted on a case-by-case basis. I like that this residential program is a full year. Unlike 28 or even 90-day programs, Promise of Hope allows men more time to really develop new habits and thinking patterns.
Ths ministry provides everything residents need including food, personal hygiene products, laundry services, transportation to church and access to AA/NA meetings. They even have clothing if you need it.
Promise of Hope aims to create a safe and positive atmosphere for residents where they can develop accountability. Men are expected to work together to complete chores, keep their personal bed area tidy and do their own laundry. Each resident also takes turns cooking. There’s a twice a week Bible study and a Sunday worship service as well as AA/NA meetings each week night.

I think one of the best features of Promise of Hope is that they are a work program. This means that you’ll be able to maintain a job during your stay that will allow you to pay your weekly fees. Many residential programs can cause families financial hardship. But this program lets men work for their own recovery. As the program provides everything from food and bedding, you don’t need to worry about budgeting for other expenses. There’s a $500 admission fee and then a weekly fee of $275 that you’ll be able to cover with your paychecks.
