About Prestera Center Mason County
Located in Pleasant, West Virginia, Prestera Health Services has been providing addiction treatment to adults and families across the state since 1967. They’re a nonprofit that helps Mason County residents dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse. One specialty is helping individuals who have co-occurring disorders. The facility also offers a sliding fee scale so all clients can have access to quality healthcare. The substance use services available at this location include medication assisted treatment (MAT), men’s transitional living and residential treatment and law enforcement assisted diversion.
The medication assisted treatment program is designed to help individuals struggling with opioid or opiate dependence. Medications that staff members may administer to you include generic Suboxone and generic Vivitrol. Suboxone is a daily medication that limits opiate euphoria, and Vivitrol is a monthly injection that can help reduce your cravings. You’ll also receive therapy, peer support, regular drug screening and medication management.
A transitional living facility is available for men who’ve completed the substance use treatment program. You’ll continue to receive group therapy and case management services to help you maintain your sobriety. I like that they also offer clients vocational readiness services to assist them with getting employment.
One other service I like at this facility is Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion, or LEAD for short. It enables law enforcement to provide low level offenders the opportunity to receive rehabilitation instead of incarceration. They direct individuals to treatment and recovery programs at Prestera Health Services. The program helps to reduce recidivism and enhance community safety.
Prestera is conveniently located not far from the scenic views of the Ohio River. Clients can also take time to relax down the street at Krodel Park.
