About Bridgeway Behavioral Health – Closed

Located in Saint Louis, Missouri, Bridgeway Behavioral Health Brentwood offered a full continuum of care for those with co occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Unfortunately they have now closed.

They accepted military insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and other state financed health plans. A sliding fee scale and payment assistance were provided to those who qualified. Services were available for people who were deaf and hard of hearing. The facility also offered private transportation services.

MAT and Treatment Under the Matrix Model

Bridgeway Behavioral Health provided residential, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Detox services were available in either inpatient and outpatient care, helping all clients to safely and comfortably manage withdrawal symptoms.

Outpatient medication assisted treatment (MAT) was offered too, using medications such as methadone and naltrexone. Therapy took place under the Matrix Model, utilizing modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and 12 step facilitation.

Services for a Range of Patient Populations

Services were for adults, transitional age young adults, and seniors. Active duty military, veterans, and their families had a dedicated treatment track here.

Pregnant and postpartum women, individuals with HIV/AIDS, and survivors of trauma such as sexual abuse and domestic violence were all treated here. I appreciate that they made members of the LGBTQ+ community feel welcome and included. Court referred clients were also accepted.

Supportive Environment

I found mixed reviews of the facility, with some former clients praising the caring staff and supportive environment. Others, however, raised concerns regarding communication and facility management, indicating room for improvement.
