About Power House Detox

Power House Detox is a substance use disorder treatment center in Otis, Oregon. They focus exclusively on withdrawal management which is the first step towards recovery. Set amongst tall pines, the area provides a peaceful backdrop for healing.

You’ll stay in a facility described as being down to earth. They’ll make sure you feel at home and are as comfortable as possible. You’ll be cared for around the clock. There’ll be nursing staff available to treat any intense withdrawal symptoms. There’ll be daily visits from their physicians, and nurses are on standby 24/7 in case you need anything.

They’ll assess you and give you treatment to meet your needs. You might need specific addiction medication. They provide Suboxone, and their trained clinicians will monitor each dose. At the same time, they’ll also provide counseling to help guide your withdrawal. Sometimes they’ll focus on the symptoms that are bothering you and treat them individually.

One thing that stood out to me about them is that they’ll give you options of where to go for your next stage of treatment. They’ll advise you as to what level of treatment you should go into. This can include AA and NA meetings, which they hold daily.

If you’d do well in a structured environment with supervision, they’ll recommend live-in treatment.

If you’ve stabilized in your recovery, you may be allowed to live at home and attend part time therapy. They’ll recommend the right level of outpatient care to meet you where you’re at. Even if you’re there for only part of the day, you can enjoy their nature walks and immerse yourself in the surrounding natural world.

Those who’ve been through detox here say they appreciated getting their own room with tv. Some describe those who work there as caring and professional. They talk about the detox meds being adequate and the food being good. Others say they’ve found the staff to be judgmental and rude.
