About POPPS

POPPS, also known as Prudent Opiate Pain Practices and Solutions, is an addiction treatment center in a suburban corner of Austin, Texas. Support is available to adults with substance abuse. Harris Ranch is within driving distance, as is Oak Creek Parke.

I think what’s fantastic about care here is how accessible it is, with scholarships, grants, nonprofit programs, personal funding, and health insurance programs all in place to support treatment costs.

Over 50 Years of Experience

POPPS’ team of professionals is made up of doctors, including certain individuals board-certified in addiction medicine specifically, as well as a psychiatrist, and nurse practitioners with experience in addiction and psychiatric fields. Between them, they boast over 50 years of experience.

A Holistic Drug Rehab

I believe POPPS is one of a few practices that treats its clients with Suboxone. Suboxone is based on buprenorphine and is used for its effectiveness in managing pain and other withdrawal symptoms like cravings. Along with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and Suboxone pain management therapy, drug screens are also provided here to help monitor individuals.

Meanwhile, outpatient detox services are also provided, along with counseling services to support the emotional and psychological elements of addiction. I noticed that referrals can also be made to external providers as needed.
