About Pocono Mountain Recovery
The Pocono Mountain Recovery Center is located in Henryville, Pennsylvania. They provide treatment for adults who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Medicaid is among the insurance plans they accept.
To be admitted into any of their programs, you must meet their criteria. You have to be an adult 18 years of age or older. Substance use disorder must be your primary diagnosis. If you do have a co-occurring mental health disorder then your symptoms must be stable. You can’t be in psychosis or a threat to yourself and others. You have to be ambulatory and capable of fully engaging in all of the therapeutic activities.
Upon admission, you are going to meet with one of the nurses. The nurse is going to conduct a biopsychosocial evaluation. This is done so they can better understand your symptoms and understand the issues that have led to your addiction.
Once the nurses have gathered all of the information they will be able to provide better focused care to help you achieve long-term sobriety. Your treatment plan will also be based on the evaluation.
They can provide you with detox services here. The length of detox will be determined by your health, progress, and the substance you are detoxing from. Detox can last an average of four to 12 days.
The residential rooms are fairly plain. It is not a spa like experience as you will barely spend any time in your room. You will have a roommate and they pair you based on clinical determination. They also have executive chefs that provide you with nutritious meals.
Outpatient treatment is provided in the form of partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. Both use group therapy as the main method of treatment. The length of time spent in group sessions is the main difference between the programs.
With the partial hospitalization program, you are going to sessions seven days a week for 5.5 hours per day. The intensive outpatient program requires you to attend sessions six days per week for three hours per day.
