About The Pittard Clinic
Based in Toccoa, Georgia, The Pittard Clinic has made it its mission to provide addiction treatment and stabilization services to opiate-addicted individuals. They are currently accepting new clients, and can now accept Medicare Part B as a payment method.
Founded in November 2007 by Dr. M. Donald Pittard, this facility started life as a family medicine clinic, before specializing in addiction medicine due to growing demand. Though Dr.Pittard has since sadly passed away, his family has proudly upheld his legacy by continuing to provide only the highest quality counseling and medical services to those in need. Going above and beyond the requirements set out by the federal Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration.
The goal at this clinic is to guide clients to a more normal, stable lifestyle, incorporating better mental and physical health practices along the way. One of the primary treatment methods used here to support clients in achieving this goal is medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
This clinic uses buprenorphine (Subutex) or methadone to help stabilize clients' physical symptoms, like withdrawal and cravings. MAT is offered alongside personal counseling for a holistic treatment. Sessions typically address the legal and financial realities of each client, as well as psychosocial elements, to get a better picture of their lifestyle, and really get to the root of their addiction.
All treatment is provided on an outpatient basis, with group therapy sessions available to provide a sense of community and accountability. Clients can also expect to receive a range of lab testing and annual physicals to keep a close eye on how they’re responding to MAT.
