About Pilsen Wellness Center Little Village

Located in Chicago, Illinois, the Pilsen Wellness Center offers outpatient addiction services to those dealing with a substance use disorder. They also have psychiatric services and medication management available to clients who have a co-occuring mental health disorder, like depression or anxiety. It’s great that they also offer a safe detox program that starts clients on the road to recovery in the right way.

Outpatient treatment is personalized to fit each client’s needs and treatment goals established during a thorough assessment. Treatment usually includes individual and group counseling, to help clients come to terms with their addiction and develop coping strategies to deal with potential triggers of substance use. Clients may also receive referrals to additional support services if needed.

I appreciate that they also have a medication assisted treatment program to help clients with opiate addiction, struggling with the process of giving up substances. The program consists of a combo of prescription medications and addiction counseling. Medication dampens cravings and takes the sting out of withdrawal symptoms so clients feel better in their bodies and minds so they get the most out of counseling sessions.
