About Phoenix House Exeter
Zinnia Health treats substance abuse for adults. Their facility used to be called Phoenix House. The facility is located in a quiet setting in the rural southern area where you can focus on healing. They have gender-specific residential programs for men and women. You'll find 'em out in Exeter, Rhode Island.
Most guests stay at the facility for 28 days, but your residence may differ. It all depends on your unique recovery needs. You'll collaborate with the clinical team to decide your length of stay. They'll also store your phone should you decide to bring it. This is because cell phones aren't allowed while you're in treatment.
Medication assisted treatment is available to help lessen withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. A board-certified physician is onsite to supervise your care and to ensure safety and comfort.
You’ll attend individual therapy sessions where you have one-on-one time to discuss your challenges with a professional experienced in addiction care. You may work on designing healthy coping strategies, recognizing substance use triggers, and learning relapse prevention methods for use after treatment.
Group therapy provides opportunities to share your thoughts and feelings in an open space with others in recovery. The members may have valuable feedback related to your recovery journey. It can also offer a supportive network of people who understand addiction.
Family therapy is available and is useful to help loved ones understand more about the disease of addiction. It can also help mend relationships affected by substance use.
You’ll attend 12 Step meetings like Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous to help you learn accountability for your recovery. They include stress management and mindfulness to help you relax and make better decisions that don't include going back to drugs.
They include life skills training and educational workshops. They also focus heavily on relapse prevention skills to help ensure you won't give in to temptation.
Amenities include fitness equipment and services, a gym, and a spacious, homey atmosphere. Aftercare services may include continued 12 Step meetings, counseling, and community care for ongoing support.
Their experienced team understands that addiction treatment can seem overwhelming. They're compassionate and understand the challenges you’ll face because some of their staff have also recovered from addiction. Check 'em out to make sure they're a good fit for you.
