About Petty Creek Ranch

Petty Creek Ranch, located in Alberton, Montana, is a faith-based, long-term residential treatment facility for adolescent boys in addiction recovery. Clients include those with co-occurring addiction and mental, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders. Petty Creek Ranch is a Clinically Managed High Intensity treatment facility based on a 12-Step model developed by the Hazeldon Betty Ford Center and approved by SAMHSA. The program also draws heavily on “reality therapy” models as clients assist in the day-to-day operations of a working ranch.

Long-term residential treatment enables clients to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment featuring premium amenities. Clients receive medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and comprehensive case management. They also engage in intensive, trauma-informed individual, group, and family counseling. An array of evidence-based complementary therapies, including EMDR, equine therapy, recreational therapy, adventure therapy, and nature therapy are provided.

Their aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs. Services may include peer coaching, transitional support for clients stepping down to outpatient treatment, 12-Step program facilitation, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs. Petty Creek Ranch holds Joint Commission, NAATP, and NATSAP accreditations. Private insurance and self-pay are accepted.
