About Pembroke 6

Pembroke 6 is a Virginia Beach government affiliated behavioral health program providing outpatient addiction and mental health treatment for adults 18 and older.

The program serves people with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs through counseling, medication management and comprehensive case management.

Pembroke 6 aims to connect clients with the wraparound support they need to build lasting recovery, with same day access available to over 1,200 individuals through its larger behavioral health hub.

I want to point out that Pembroke 6's core focus is outpatient opioid treatment, including medication assisted treatment with methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone.

As a SAMHSA certified opioid treatment program with DEA accreditation, the facility offers regulated, evidence based care for opioid use disorder.

Treatment combines medication management with individual and group counseling, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention using the Matrix Model.

Sessions address both the physical and underlying causes of addiction, supported by overdose education and naloxone resources.

Co-Occurring Disorder and Trauma Care

Pembroke 6 places strong emphasis on co-occurring substance use and serious mental health conditions including trauma, domestic violence and abuse histories.

Clients receive psychiatric evaluations, trauma related counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy.
