About Pear Lake Women’s Program
Project Clean Start, Pear Lake Women’s Program sits overlooking scenic Pear Lake in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This program’s substance abuse and co occurring disorder treatment is tailored to the needs of women, with additional specialized care available at another Hope House owned location in La Prairie.
The key differentiator at Project Clean Start—and something I think benefits women in recovery—is that they can accommodate your children, so you won’t have to leave them during treatment.
Recovery Mind, Body and Soul
Substance use has ramifications on all aspects of your life, not just one or two areas of health. That’s why this program uses a holistic approach that addresses your physical, mental and spiritual needs and seeks to care for you as a whole rather than one diagnosis. I think holistic substance abuse is worth considering because it can have the added benefit of boosting self confidence.
New Ways to Reflect
I also appreciate how Hope House programs emphasize the importance of self reflection in their programs. Both mindfulness meditation and traditional Native American talking circles give clients new ways to quiet their minds and focus within, an incredible skill for coping with addiction symptoms and making better decisions when you’re feeling stressed in sobriety.
