About VOA – Outpatient Services

The Volunteers of America is a religious organization providing an array of human support services. In the southeastern Wyoming location, you’ll find outpatient addiction treatment and counseling services. This facility also provides mental health care and case management.

Volunteers of America uses faith-based principles from the Christian tradition. Walk-in appointments are available if you need to get assessed quickly.

Faith-Based Outpatient Services Helping You Recover

Treatment provided in an outpatient setting includes group therapy, mental health care, addiction treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation. Services aim to help people with severe mental illness or addiction learn independent living skills and find meaningful employment.

Volunteers of America use the power of their ministry and the teachings of Jesus Christ to guide their programs, but they do not force spirituality upon anyone. Small group bible studies may be offered to explore life themes like creation and covenant.

Health, Housing, And Human Services

Volunteers of America aim to provide quality healthcare and human services to each community. In addition to outpatient addiction treatment, you can access psychiatric care, crisis stabilization and long-term housing through this facility. I like that Wheatland, Wyoming is a community with a small-town feel with many outdoor attractions and historical sites to visit.

For example you could visit Wheatland City Park or Platte County Pioneer Museum. I noticed this Volunteers of America location has mixed reviews. There are clients who say this location is helpful and pleasant, but others have mentioned feeling ignored because of communication.
