Crisis Services for Junction City

Pawnee also provides crisis services and a crisis stabilization unit. It’s based in Manhattan, Kansas, but it serves every county. I like that this service works with local hospitals and law enforcement to provide immediate care for people in need whether they’re children, teens, ro adults. The facility has 11 beds with the goal of transferring you back to regular life once you’re stabilized.

PMHS begins the recovery journey with a motivational interview which helps to understand the motivations or causes that led to substance misuse. Likewise, this network understands that substance abuse is often the result of underlying mental health issues, and dual diagnosis care is provided here.

The Geary County facilities do provide level I outpatient treatment and level II, which is more intensive and lasts 4-6 weeks. I also appreciated that there’s a Sober Living House for male community members free of charge.
