About Pathways Morehead
Pathways is a CARF accredited treatment facility located in Morehead, Kentucky. They specialize in treatment for adolescents, adults, and veterans who are struggling with dual diagnosis and substance abuse disorders. They offer outpatient treatment and a virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP). A few of the many services they provide are peer support, therapy, Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), a DUI program, a veteran support program, and community support services.
The road to recovery can seem challenging and stressful as well as uncomfortable especially when you are dealing with the immediate effects of stopping the use of opioids. The MOUD program utilizes maintenance medication — specifically naltrexone, methadone, and buprenorphine. The medication that will be prescribed is to help ease cravings and normalize brain function which reduces the risk of a relapse or an overdose. You also receive counseling and other behavioral health treatment during the MOUD program to help you establish new habits for long term recovery.
The Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF) program provides supportive services to help you or a loved one get the healing and support you need. Behavioral health, addiction, and mental health services are some of the many areas they will assist you and your family in. The goal is to provide stable housing, employment security, and medical care to help you move forward on your journey of recovery while assisting your family as well.
Their DUI program is available for individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence. The length of the program will vary depending on how many offenses you may have committed previously. This program is designed to help you gain full access to driving privileges. An assessment will be completed to determine if you may need more treatment regarding chemical dependency, and this will be discussed with the court system to determine the best way to reduce the risk of reoffending.
