About Pathway To Recovery Inc

Pathway to Recovery in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a level one supportive housing facility for adult men. The facility houses Hoosiers who are impacted by homelessness, substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.

The organization has six programs and four full time staff. Program graduates volunteer as peer supporters. Five programs sit on previously drug infested properties that now bring the sick and desperate to sobriety, housing, employment, and a state of well being.

Highly Structured and Supervised Program

The program is for substance users who have safely detoxed and completed a substance use treatment program. Eligible men are homeless or at risk, have a history of substance use disorder, agree to mental health services, and agree to a minimum of six months treatment.

I noticed that level one includes 24 hours per day seven days per week supervision and structural routine. Men share bedrooms and meals are provided.

Transitioning to Level Two

You’ll be in the program 6-9 months before you are transferred to the next level. To advance to the next level, you must have been substance free, mentally stable, self-sufficient financially, and have had a stable income for six months. The next level is semi independent living.

The nearest bus stop is a seven minute walk from the home. If you would like a meal outside of the home, Baby’s is a five minute walk and offers comfort food in a retro style restaurant.

Nearby Resources and Relaxation Areas

Wendy’s is an eight minute walk and offers inexpensive meals. If you are craving breakfast food, the Lincoln Square Pancake House is an eight minute walk away.

Sometimes we just need a spot to ourselves to reflect and enjoy being in nature. Barton’s Park is a 20 minute walk from the home. Reviews show the park to be a good catfishing area with pleasant walking trails. The park sits along Fall Creek.

Addiction Treatment Programs

Adult Program

An adult program in Indiana offers recovery services to those who have become addicted to drugs or alcohol. Treatment may include inpatient or outpatient services, medication, and a variety of therapy methods.

Alcoholism

If you choose an alcohol rehab in Indiana, you’ll progress through four stages of recovery. Rehab begins with treatment initiation, then moves to early abstinence, then maintaining abstinence, and finally advanced recovery. The outcome is a new, healthy sober lifestyle.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Indiana helps those struggling with addiction deal with triggers (something that compels a person to seek their substance of choice). This method teaches individuals healthy ways to handle situations without turning to substance use.

Men's Rehab

Men’s rehab in Indiana allows for greater participant engagement by offering same-gender treatment sessions. Often, men feel more comfortable in these settings, so they are more willing to share and receive support.

Opioid Treatment

During opioid rehab in Indiana, addiction specialists help individuals stop abusing prescription drugs or other opioids. Comprehensive treatment includes inpatient rehab, behavioral therapy methods, and alternative therapies. Many rehabs in Indiana include detox and medication assisted treatment.

Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT)

Rational emotive behavioral therapy in Indiana can improve quality of life by helping individuals who are struggling with addiction replace negative thoughts and behaviors with healthy ones. This treatment method is often included as part of a recovery treatment plan.

Senior Drug & Alcohol Rehab

Elderly rehab in Indiana uses many of the same treatment methods as general population programs, but with a focus on challenges of aging. Methods often include 12-step programs, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Teen & Adolescent Program

Each young adult program in Indiana covers a wide range of addictions. Programs offer evidence-based therapies to treat alcohol, heroin, opioid, cocaine, benzodiazepine, and marijuana addictions, among others.

Levels of Care

Inpatient Rehab

During inpatient reahb, you live at the treatment facility and participate in several forms of therapy throughout each day. You also engage in forms of psychotherapy, which usually includes group and family therapy as well as individual counseling. Many programs also offer holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.

Aftercare & Alumni Program

The moment your initial treatment ends, aftercare rehab in Indiana begins. Multiple aftercare resources are available to help you confidently re-enter life and maintain sobriety. This support may last for a year or more, providing assistance with counseling, job coaching, budgeting assistance, and other life skills.

Dual Diagnosis & Mental Health

Dual diagnosis in Indiana treats co-occurring disorders, meaning it addresses both your mental health and recovery needs. A multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and addiction experts work together to ensure all aspects of your mental and physical health are treated.

Drug & Alcohol Intervention

Intervention services in Indiana can help you convince your loved one to get the treatment they need. Professionals are available to provide pre-intervention counseling to family members, facilitate an intervention, and assist with the development of a treatment plan.
