About Path of Hope Lexington
Path of Hope Lexington in Lexington, North Carolina, is a drug and alcohol rehab center for men and women. They focus on treating the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of each person for long term recovery. All clients who wish to address their addiction are welcome regardless of their financial situation. clients must be willing to participate in a 28 day program and must be alcohol and drug free when admitted.
Path of Hope is not a detox facility. All clients must be clean for 72 hours before coming in. Clients must also be medically stable and cleared to enter treatment. They use a variety of different therapeutic techniques such as 12 Step facilitation, the Matrix model and motivational enhancement therapy. Clients participate in AA/NA meetings during treatment. You’ll learn about self-esteem, honesty, responsibility and hope as you develop a relationship with a higher power.
A typical day includes a short inspirational reading before breakfast. After the meal, you'll perform your assigned chores and then attend four groups or classes throughout the day. This may mean educational lectures, group therapy, individual counseling sessions, recreation or gender groups. You'll also have to do your daily homework based on the information from group sessions.
All clients will attend two in-house AA meetings and four outside AA meetings each week. Families are welcome to visit on Sundays. They can also participate in family education sessions. If a family therapy session would be useful for you and your family, you can request it.
Path of Hope also runs a halfway house. Stays are for at least six months and help clients transition to the community after treatment. You will learn a new career or trade and have access to continuing education. You'll volunteer in the community and begin to rebuild your financial security.
