About Paterson Counseling Center

Located in the Great Falls District of Paterson, New Jersey, Paterson Counseling Center is a medical facility specializing in the treatment of addiction and its accompanying physical symptoms. In an outpatient setting, you’ll find substance abuse counseling, methadone maintenance therapy and a DUI program. They also have HIV counseling and perinatal treatment programs.

With more than 40 employees, Paterson Counseling Center offers credentialed and licensed help for internal medicine, mental health and counseling. Treatment uses a partnership approach that is nurturing and supportive. They focus on problem management and intervention.

If you’re seeking a pathway to recovery from opioid use then this facility provides free Suboxone therapy. This can be used as an alternative to methadone therapy. There are certain eligibility requirements to obtain free treatment and you must have received treatment through one of their mobile programs.

The Need Exchange Treatment Initiative funds medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for New Jersey residents. Counselors will help you see if you are eligible for the program by giving you an assessment and understanding if you meet the requirements.

You’ll need to have a history of at least one year of opioid dependence and cannot be currently enrolled in another Suboxone treatment program. If clinicians think you need treatment that is more intensive than mobile or office-based care, you’ll receive a referral.

People who’ve received treatment at this facility say that if you’re willing to do the work and change your life this clinic will help. Others say the counselors are amazing and this place will work with you to accommodate your schedule.
