About Parallax Center

Parallax Center is an outpatient drug and alcohol detox and stabilization program in midtown Manhattan. They specialize in the treatment of post acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS) and provide dedicated services for military personnel, working professionals, young adults, clients with dual diagnoses, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available for those recovering from alcohol and benzodiazepine addiction. Non-opioid MAT, including naltrexone, is offered for patients recovering from opiate dependency.

Their integrative care programs include CBT-based individual, group, and family counseling, addiction education, relapse prevention, and comprehensive aftercare planning and support. Emphasizing patient stabilization, they combine clinical and psychotherapeutic approaches to physiologically and psychologically prepare clients for the successful transition to step-down services, such as their 22 week outpatient aftercare program. They hold SAMHSA accreditation and accept private insurance, self-pay, and Medicaid. Needs-based financial assistance is available.
