About One Twelve Minnetonka Treatment Center
One Twelve in Minnetonka, Minnesota, provides substance abuse support for adults in a secluded rural center on the outskirts of town. They run a transitional residence for men stepping down from a higher level of care. They also serve people with a dual diagnosis. This facility is located on the Minnetonka Regional Trail close to Big Willow Park and Minnehaha Creek. They accept insurances including Hennepin Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, and PrimeWest Health.
Addiction Recovery in Minnetonka
One Twelve offers 24/7 support in their inpatient residence. Clients get to live in a supportive and structured environment. They’ll participate in individual and group therapy, holistic wellness activities, and relapse prevention techniques.
Their programming runs weekdays in the mornings. Residents are encouraged to find part-time work or volunteer in the community in the afternoons. They also require residents to attend local 12 Step recovery meetings.
I like that One Twelve has teamed up with Kai Shin to manage addiction medications.Having access to these medications can make a huge impact on a person’s recovery, especially for opioid users.
The Right Level of Independence During Recovery
The thing I find most interesting about One Twelve is how much freedom clients are given. Residents get a budget to purchase groceries and cook for themselves. They can have electronic devices outside of programming time. They also allow visitors and residents to have their own vehicles. Clients do their own laundry and purchase their own detergent to use in the onsite laundry facilities.
Many sober housing facilities do not allow any of these amenities, and I feel that these freedoms can be helpful to adults trying to get their lives back in order.
You’ll still get a high level of accountability and support but not at the cost of all your autonomy.
