About Odyssey House
Odyssey House provides Salt Lake City, Utah, residents substance abuse treatments. They accept in network insurance plans and have low cash payment options. Their residential program has been around since the 1970s. They combine substance abuse and mental health treatments with physical health, job skills and negative beliefs and behaviors. By the time you leave, you’ll be sober, employed, have access to housing and medical care and be ready for an independent life.
In residential care, you won't just sit back and be catered too. You'll participate in cooking, cleaning and establishing good life skills. Adults can also get their high school equivalency and get vocational services during their time at Odyssey House.
They also have intensive and general outpatient programs for those who don't require 24/7 access to staff. These range from 2 to 19 hours of treatment per week. They also have an excellent family support group to help anyone whose loved one has a chemical dependency. Anyone can attend, even if their loved one is not in treatment with Odyssey House.
Their parents with children program is for single moms and single dads who need substance use or mental health treatment. Access to individual, family and group therapy is a big part of the program. You’ll also learn how to bond with your children and how to be good parents. While the adults are in treatment, their kids will attend an onsite daycare. Licensed staff will care for children from newborns and up and will help them heal childhood trauma and rebuild attachment. School age children will attend a local elementary school and get daycare services after school.
They also offer newly renovated, fully furnished sober housing. They own two apartments with either one or two bedroom units. Community areas and playgrounds are on site.
