About Northwestern Community Services Thomas J Peachey Center
Northwestern Community Services Warren Clinic is located in Fort Royal, Virginia. They offer support and treatment to individuals who are struggling with co occurring conditions, severe mental illness, and substance abuse disorders.
They offer intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) which gives you the flexibility to still attend treatment sessions and handle other personal matters. The schedule consists of group therapy three hours a day, three days a week. This includes psychoeducational groups, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), individual counseling and peer recovery services.
What caught my eye was their psychiatric rehabilitation program (PSR). Their program provides individuals who are 18 years of age and older with serious mental illness an opportunity to develop life skills. They also learn to develop self resilience and independence. Being in a supportive environment, receiving guidance by licensed clinicians and being part of a community can provide encouragement and a safe atmosphere to focus on healing.
Another program that I thought was great is their substance exposed infants program (SEI). Being a new parent who has struggled with chemical dependence can make it uncomfortable and nerve racking to ask for help due to the fear of being judged. This program provides a safe atmosphere for you to heal and recover.
In the SEI program services are available to pregnant women and fathers who are struggling with addiction. Some of the many services include therapy, referral to case management services for children, parenting support, and so much more.
