About NorthKey Community Care Madison Avenue Treatment Center

NorthKey Community Care - Madison Avenue Treatment Center is located in Covington, Kentucky. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission. They provide an array of services such as peer support, substance use services, medications for opioid use disorders and primary care.

I like that their substance use services are provided by knowledgeable staff that use the most current research. You will begin your treatment with a comprehensive assessment. This assessment will help the staff determine your medical history, substance use history, goals and needs. Once all this information has been collected from you, the staff will be able to develop a treatment plan that is personalized based on your needs and treatment goals.

Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for adults who are struggling with an addiction to drugs and alcohol. To promote recovery and sobriety they use evidence based treatment methods. I like that you will receive education in regards to addiction as a disease, relapse prevention, stages of addiction, codependency and copy skills.

During your time in treatment you will be able to attend both individual and group therapy. What stands out to me is that they help you develop skills for your leisure time. You’ll be able to learn that you do not need the use of substances to enjoy your life or situations. The counselors will help guide you into positive leisure activities so that you will be able to weaken the association of needing substance to enjoy yourself.

I like that you will have the opportunity to attend their peer support recovery. The peer recovery support specialists have been successful in their recovery journey and have become licensed and certified to help others in similar circumstances. I like that they have once stood in your position, which gives them the chance to relate and connect.
