About Northern Tier Counseling, Inc
Adults and adolescents are able to access outpatient drug and alcohol treatment services at Northern Tier Counseling. The facility is located in Towanda, Pennsylvania. Medicaid and Medicare are among the insurances they accept. If you don’t have insurance you will have the option to pay the full fee for service. Major credit cards are accepted.
Before you are admitted into the treatment program, you’ll need to take an assessment. The assessment will include questions to determine your substance history, medical history and if there are underlying co-occurring issues. Whether you are voluntarily seeking treatment or are seeking treatment as the request of the court system, you will need to do the assessment.
Once they are able to determine the best level of care, you will either be given a referral or begin your outpatient treatment. Depending on your treatment plan you may attend individual, group, family and/or couples counseling.
During individual sessions, you’ll be able to address any trauma and dive deep in the aspects of addiction. During this time, your treatment plan will be addressed to make sure that it is meeting your needs and goals.
I like that with group therapy, you will be able to share and learn from others’ experiences. You’ll be able to gain confidence and know that you are not alone on the recovery journey. I also like that you will be able to rely on your peers for support and develop your sober network.
Adolescents who have had experience with the legal system will also be able to receive counseling. Teens will be able to receive education on drugs and alcohol, as well as receive prevention services. Their hope is to prevent any further issues from arising with your teen, by providing these services.
