About Anchor of Hope Opioid Treatment Program

Anchor of Hope Opioid Treatment Program is a service for clients who are experiencing opioid use disorder (OUD). The clinic is on Springlake Road in beautiful Farmers Branch, Texas. This is a methadone maintenance clinic that offers treatment for OUD and co-occurring mental health disorders. The program is self pay only. Although they don’t take insurance, they have a transparent, affordable price list. For instance, one daily methadone dose is $14.00.

Methadone Maintenance in Dallas County, Texas

Methadone is a long acting opioid agonist that works similarly to narcotic medications and morphine. However, when used properly, methadone doesn’t create euphoric effects. Instead, the drug helps you comfortably withdraw from opioids while reducing or stopping opioid cravings.

The proper dose depends on height, weight, age, sex and other biological considerations. One of the things I noticed about this methadone maintenance program is that once you’re on the right dose, your cravings will stop and you can carry on with your normal daily activities. You’ll be able to attend school or work while on the treatment.

Supportive Services for Addiction Treatment in Farmers Branch, Texas

The treatment clinic offers several supportive services beyond simple methadone dosing that I think clients will find helpful. Included in the cost of the methadone treatment is counseling. You can attend group and individual counseling where you can explore the root cause of your addiction. This helps you with the relapse planning part of the program. Once you know why you use opioids, you can learn coping skills to manage or avoid your triggers.

If you’ve had a brush with the law, there’s a drug offender education program. This is a court mandated, 15 hour program where clients receive drug abuse education. The program's goal is to help offenders avoid future criminal behaviors.

Other supportive services include an anger management program, mental health awareness, life skills and coping skills education. I think clients who take advantage of everything this program has to offer will be well on their way to maintaining a sober lifestyle.
