About Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.

Newport Integrated Behavioral Health in Decatur, Georgia, is a private psychiatric and behavioral health center that offers accessible addiction treatment services. Support is available to individuals of all ages and their families. Insurance options include HMO, Medicaid and Medicare.

The team here understands that addiction affects all areas of individuals’ lives, from the physical and emotional to the spiritual and social. With this in mind they prioritize offering an integrated treatment experience that effectively supports clients’ unique needs and preferences. Individuals with concurrent mental health issues are also accommodated here.

Free Medication Assisted Treatment in Belvedere Park

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is offered at this center using a variety of medications like combined naltrexone, clonidine and buprenorphine naloxone. Something I think is great and unique about this center is that MAT is offered for free to individuals aged 18 and older who struggle with addiction.

This generous offering is funded by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities’ (DBHDD). It comes out of a SAMHSA funded program designed to tackle Georgia’s opioid crisis.

Programs for Youth and Adults

Programs are available for kids and teens, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and other behavioral health services. Meanwhile adult programs here include residential substance detox and ambulatory detox services to help individuals get clean. Clients can also benefit from a 28 day drug rehab program as well as IOP services. Behavioral health services include psychiatric assessment; individual, group and family counseling and training; as well as parenting groups and medication management services.

An additional program that stood out to me is their clinical evaluation and DUI treatment services. These are available for individuals who may have gotten into legal trouble as a result of their substance misuse.
