About New Oakland Family Centers

Outpatient treatment is person centered and recovery orientated and uses proven treatment approaches to help you address to root causes of your addiction, reduce mental health symptoms, and build resilience. Your treatment may include individual, group, and family therapy, medication reviews, psychiatric evaluations, case management, trauma evaluations, and transition and discharge planning.

Evidence based approaches used in counseling include cognitive behavioral therapy, which helps you challenge and change your behaviors surrounding substances, and motivational interviewing which promotes positive behavior changes. Additional approaches include psychoeducation and trauma informed treatment.
