About New Mexico Rehabilitation Center

The New Mexico Rehabilitation Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a specialty hospital located in Roswell, New Mexico. They provide a continuum of care for chemical dependency that encompasses medical detox, inpatient rehabilitation (IP) and intensive outpatient care (IOP).

Their medical detox occurs in a structured and therapeutic environment with an inpatient unit that has eight beds. It involves a carefully managed withdrawal procedure with 24/7 nursing care. You’ll have access to licensed counselors who may provide crisis counseling to support your withdrawal. They may prescribe medication to ease your withdrawal symptoms and ensure a safe and comfortable detox.

After detox, you may choose to continue your treatment with their day inpatient program for up to 28 days. This program involves intensive therapeutic exercises with round the clock support by their multidisciplinary team.

These professionals deliver clinically proven practices like cognitive (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) in individual and group sessions. The goal is to tackle negative emotions or behavioral patterns that trigger your substance use and help you develop robust coping skills. In group therapy, you’ll learn to manage anger/stress, resolve internal conflicts and communicate effectively. These essential life skills prevent relapse and help you stay sober.

You can step down directly from this program to their intensive outpatient care. This program incorporates treatment for underlying mental conditions. The recovery approach for this condition incorporates psychiatric care including assessment, medication management and psychotherapy with addiction therapy. The program is very flexible with three hours of therapy group daily for three days a week alongside individual counseling on an as-needed basis. Session includes afternoon and evening options designed to fit your tight schedule This makes it ideal for those who hope to maintain their everyday routine while receiving treatment.

Aftercare services may involve referral to peer based groups like AA/NA for ongoing support or connection to community services that support your recovery. This may include safe housing, vocational training or employment support and educational opportunities.
