About New Life for Girls

New Life for Girls is a rehabilitation and recovery program that serves women and children who are struggling with substance use. They also work closely with the prison system to help women who are or were incarcerated. Their Dover, Pennsylvania location spans 27 acres and serves as the main campus, providing a safe and supportive environment for women and their children. Here, you’ll find a path to health, wellness and success in life.

The program here follows a three phase approach to recovery. During the first phase, you'll navigate a structured schedule that will help you build the skills to lead a healthy and sober lifestyle.

This program is rooted in Christian faith practices. As such, you will be encouraged to lean into your faith and seek guidance and strength from it when you're faced with obstacles in your life.

When you move onto the second phase, you'll continue the theme of self discipline, counseling, and Christian faith practices. The main focus of this phase is to learn how to successfully reintegrate back into society.

During your third phase, you'll take actionable steps to complete that reintegration into society. This may involve you developing vocational skills and educational skills and working to set a plan for yourself once you leave the program.

If you plan to pursue your education or enter the workforce then your care team will help you plan out what that would look like in your life. GED services are available to help you do that.

This is a faith based organization but you'll also be grounded by traditional and evidence based approaches to a life of health and wellness as well. For example, you’ll have access to parenting skills classes, nutritional classes, counseling services and empowerment sessions.

They also have specialized emotional support services if you're someone who has experienced trauma, sexual abuse or are navigating the complex emotions following an abortion.
