About New Hope Counseling Gainesville
Based in Gainesville, Georgia, this facility is just one of two New Hope Counseling locations. Support here is available to clients of all genders and ages. Since their founding in 1996, they have remained committed to their founding goal of offering quality, affordable outpatient treatment, and counseling to all those who need it.
Individuals here can access comprehensive outpatient programming for mental and behavioral health issues, including addiction and substance abuse. These are designed to help clients gain insight and understanding of their conditions, while fulfilling their own personal goals to grow and change, all within a safe and nurturing environment.
Their alcohol and drug awareness program is designed as an educational workshop that allows participants to explore the history and laws around addictive substances, as well as the long-term health consequences of substance abuse. Its approach is quite hands-on; for example, they use ‘drunk goggles’ so that participants can evaluate the effects of alcohol on their body.
Meanwhile, their state-certified alcohol and drug treatment features classes that vary in length. These can be done either individually or in a group setting. They feature addiction education, covering the effect of drugs on the body, sober living, relapse prevention, and an intro to 12 Step philosophies and support groups. These classes meet requirements for individuals on pretrial and post-conviction, as well as those with DWIs or DUIs looking to get their license reinstated.
Drug testing is also available here, as well as counseling and therapy sessions on both an individual and group basis. Selected services are available in Spanish.
If you need to unwind and relax between counseling, Gainesville Square is close by as is the Breneau College Historic District.
