About New Dawn Treatment Centers Reno
The intensive outpatient program will involve individual counseling twice a week and daily group therapy. The four areas your treatment will focus on are coping skills, relapse prevention tools, neurobiology of addiction, and patient centered treatment planning. The coping skills you learn will help replace the urge to drink or take drugs.
Another part of the program that I like is family counseling. Counselors will help family members know what to expect from their loved one’s treatment and how to best support them. Family members will also work through any anger they have related to their loved ones’ addiction.
Intensive Support Through Day Treatment
Some clients may need more support to help with sustaining their recovery. The Day Treatment program involves six hours of individual and group therapy five days a week. Staff members will regularly perform drug tests to make sure clients are complying with sobriety requirements. In this program, you won’t be discharged if you relapse.
Instead, staff members will work with you to minimize the effects of your relapse and get you on the path to recovery again. If higher levels of care are needed, New Dawn Treatment Centers offers a residential program at a different location.
Recreation Activities in Reno
Reno provides great opportunities for outdoor recreation activities, such as visiting the Truckee River Walk or checking out the Mt. Rose Ski Resort. You can also visit unique museums like the National Automobile Museum.
Unique Therapeutic Approaches
One other thing I noticed about this facility is its wide range of unique therapeutic approaches. Some options you may receive include brainspotting, art therapy and acupuncture. Additionally, gender specific group sessions are available so clients feel more comfortable talking about issues related to their experience.
