Never Alone Treatment Center is a residential treatment facility that offers addiction treatment services to adolescents in Hurley, New York. It’s in a secluded woodland near Stony Creek. Their services are evidence based and tailored to meet the specific needs of teenagers between 12-17 years old.

A young person will receive personalized care that addresses the psychological, physical, and emotional issues related to addiction. There are two separate buildings for boys and girls and each client will share a room with a same sex roommate. Parents will receive a phone call from the staff once a week to hear about their loved one’s progress.

Another thing I like about this facility is that it offers different types of experiential therapy to assist clients with recovery. Art therapy, such as painting and drawing, gives teens an outlet to explore the emotions influencing their addiction and express themselves. Music therapy is an option that allows clients to create or listen to music as a means of managing stress and enhancing emotional well being.

Hurly is just an hour south of Albany. It’s known for its various nature areas such as Catskill Mountains and Kingston Point Beach. The Ashokan Reservoir isn’t too far away.
