About National Youth Advocate Program
The National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) offers community-based programs for at-risk youths and their loved ones in Cincinnati, Ohio.
They use trauma-informed, strengths-based, and family-centered approaches to help children and their families achieve stability and overall well-being. It’s just off Highway 75 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and there are places to stay close by if you need to travel to reach the center. Plus, there are some casual eateries close by for a quick bite to eat and to talk things through as a family, following an appointment.
Keeping Families and At-Risk Youths Together
Through family counseling, therapy, educational programs, community connections, and other services, NYAP helps improve the quality of relationships between children and caregivers.
Specialized substance use disorder services help promote reduced substance use and recovery for young people and families affected by addiction. The Prevention and Intervention Program also provides outpatient mental health services which include psychotherapy and counseling services that promote healing and family development, and functioning.
Dedicated Support for Cincinnati Youth
NYAP also offers the National Youth Advocate Program. This is an intensive residential treatment program for teens that addresses their at-risk behaviors and facilitates healthy changes in behavior.
Clients will learn how to overcome their challenges with substance use and other behavioral health issues and grow to become positive members of their communities. My favorite part of the Advocate Program is Bridges which provides transitional living services and support in readiness for independent living.
