Mountain House Recovery is a 12 Step driven recovery community that utilizes clinical treatment methods and adventure therapy. Individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and coaching services are provided. On a weekly basis, clients get outside and into nature within the community of Flagstaff or a nearby area. Once a month, clients will participate in a multi-day adventure therapy process. Examples of excursions include hiking, fly fishing, surfing, mountain biking, tubing, canyoneering, backpacking, and skiing. Through the hard work of recovery throughout the week, and the healing that takes place in nature while in connection with others, clients focus on learning new skills, processing their triggers, resolving emotional challenges, learning new ways of communicating, and creating a new foundation based in recovery.
