About Montana Chemical Dependency Center

Located in Butte, MT, Montana Chemical Dependency Center is a state-funded drug and alcohol rehab providing intensive inpatient addiction treatment. They host sixteen men and sixteen women at a time, as well as sixteen individuals who need medical detox. They also treat co-occurring disorders.

MCDC treats each person with dignity and respect and an individual recovery plan is created for each person while in treatment. Program components include medical detoxification, individual and group therapy, psychoeducational classes, peer support, self-help projects, mental health support and treatment, and case management for aftercare planning. Treatment is provided by physicians, nurses, and certified therapists. The length of stay in residential treatment depends on the progress made by each individual and can be up to 35 days or more.

Rates to attend treatment are dependent on each individual’s ability to pay. MCDC does not take walk-in patients.
