About Mohave Mental Health Clinic Kingman Main Clinic

Mohave Mental Health Clinic is a nonprofit organization in Kingman, Arizona, that provides behavioral and mental health care to clients throughout the area. They have multiple locations, but this is their Kingman Main Clinic. It’s an outpatient facility where they can help with drug and alcohol addiction along with other behavioral health and mental health needs.

The outpatient treatment here has individual and group therapy for addiction. This allows you to get the best of both worlds. In your individual sessions, you’ll talk through the specific issues that impact your addiction and recovery and develop an understanding of why you turn to drugs and alcohol. In group therapy, you’ll talk through the challenges of recovery with other people who are in your shoes while also developing a strong community of people in recovery.

A key aspect of the treatment here is individualized care. They’ll work with you specifically to assess what you need for your growth and sobriety and create a custom treatment plan for you. They’ll also connect you to more intensive levels of care if you need them, like residential rehab or inpatient treatment.

There are a couple things I found especially notable about this clinic. First of all, they have crisis services available 24 hours a day. You can walk into their clinic during their open hours or you can call at any time after hours and have someone to get you help. They also have services here for both adults and children. This clinic has the distinction of being accredited by The Joint Commission, which speaks to their expertise and quality of care.

Finally, they make treatment available to everyone regardless of ability to pay so you can get care no matter what your financial or insurance situation is.

The client feedback here is very polarized. Some clients say that they had great experiences here and that the staff is conscientious and seems to genuinely care about their needs. Others say the opposite and feel that the staff disregards them. Several clients say that they have had trouble communicating with this clinic and getting a call back.
