About Genesis Mission Bible Training Center

In Northport, Alabama, Mission Teens’ Genesis Mission Bible Training Center or MBTC provides people struggling with addiction challenges a spiritual residential approach to therapy and healing. Despite the name, this program is for adults ages 18 and up.

This Christian focused program is designed with several different stages of healing, and your treatment journey usually lasts about 8 to 10 months. I really like how the philosophy behind this program begins with a commitment to seeking a faith based recovery.

A Spiritual Therapy Program That is Free of Charge

I think one of the best aspects of this faith based program is that it's meant for those who would have a hard time covering the costs of traditional care. This program is free of charge, although it’s important to know that it does not offer patients medical detox or medical supervision.

This residential program is all about creating a Christian community to support others that have similar substance struggles. Through life skills workshops, scripture study, counseling and shared responsibilities in the residence, each individual works towards their personal recovery goals one step at a time.

Christian Residential Therapy in a Nonjudgmental Setting

Upon arriving, you will find yourself in a substance free dormitory setting, with a shared kitchen and dining areas as well as recreational spaces to promote socializing and activities among residents. I really like the importance that this program places on your family, not only to support you during your treatment, but as you move forward and maintain your sobriety through aftercare connections too.

Grateful Alumni Say the Impact is Lifelong

Alumni of the program leave feedback that expresses gratitude for being able to deepen their faith while regaining their sobriety in a welcoming and transformative experience. Residents have also commented on feeling accepted and encouraged in this supportive program.

Northport is a rural area located near local parks such as Kentuck Park and Lake Lurleen State Park. These outdoor areas may provide additional space for quiet reflection and meditation during treatment.
