About Mirror Lake Recovery Center

Mirror Lake Recovery is a full service drug and alcohol rehab for adults set in 75 acres of exquisite woodland in Burns, Tennessee. While they are a Christian faith based organization, they welcome people of all beliefs and persuasions.

You’ll be guided through medical detox under the supervision of qualified medical staff. After getting the chemicals out of your system, you’ll be taken into a live in treatment phase. There are three main levels of treatment, each with more freedom and responsibility. This helps prepare you for going home to your family or community.

When it comes to your recovery plan, they have many different types of therapy. During your initial assessment, they’ll listen to your struggles and hopes. Out of that, they’ll put together an individualized schedule for you.

I like that they have a dedicated Christian program for those who hold to those beliefs. I appreciate that this is optional. Nobody is forced to do anything that would go against their personal belief systems. Their Christian program is paired with the 12 Steps methods.

They incorporate the SMART method, too. This is a good alternative for those who’d prefer not to include faith aspects in their recovery. Together with this, they use other proven methods in solo counseling and group therapy.
