About Milestones Family Recovery
Milestones Family Recovery in Corvallis, Oregon, specializes in providing treatment to men and women who are struggling with substance use disorders. Their mission has always been to provide individualized care in a safe, comfortable and supportive setting. They have continued to expand and now provide residential, outpatient, and gender specific approaches to treatment.
A great feature available here is their women’s residential program which provides a cozy home setting with 12 beds in a tranquil and secure atmosphere. I think it’s great how they utilize a family centered approach. They keep mothers and their children together during their time of healing and recovery at one of their transitional houses, which offers outpatient care. This includes a free preliminary assessment with a continuation of individualized care, counseling, relapse prevention, peer support, recovery support and self help groups.
Their Recovery Wellness Center is designed for men and offers a structure similar to the women’s program. It can be uncomfortable being vulnerable and discussing personal matters with others who may not understand. Their gender specific approach gives men a chance to open up with other men who are on their journey of recovery. This Milestones program provides job preparation courses, group therapy, aftercare planning, and counseling.
What sticks out to me the most is their DUII services. If you or a loved one has been convicted of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) this program offers both treatment and education to encourage positive changes and raise awareness of the implications of DUII. An assessment will be completed by the courts, and ASAM assessments will be conducted until treatment is completed. They can provide referrals for you to receive residential or outpatient treatment along with therapy and medication management. Throughout the duration of treatment you’ll engage in treatment counseling, support groups, and probation programs.
