About Midwest Recovery Center Outpatient

Midwest Recovery Center Outpatient provides substance abuse treatment and aftercare for adults in Kansas City, Missouri. You’ll find an intensive outpatient program (IOP), therapy, and mental health support at this location. Midwest Recovery emphasizes personal growth and a balanced lifestyle within its programs. Their trained clinicians will choose the most appropriate therapeutic modality to help you heal and enter recovery.

Comprehensive Community Addiction Treatment

The community intensive outpatient program takes place in a warm and safe environment with the goal of providing the necessary skills to maintain sobriety. This IOP is flexible with evening sessions occurring three nights per week. This program is eight weeks with 24 sessions in total. Sessions can be changed to accommodate your work, education and family responsibilities. The program will help you manage cravings effectively, learn relapse prevention skills and strengthen your sober support system. One component of the IOP I like is that they focus on early recovery. Sessions can address topics like emotional resilience and navigating challenges in early sobriety.

Structured Transition from Treatment

The aftercare program at Midwest Recovery offers a unique plan based on your personal needs. The key components of aftercare are relapse prevention planning, therapeutic support and regular check-ins. You’ll learn how to develop a productive and satisfying lifestyle free from addiction. I like that this program can help you transition from intensive treatment to a less intense level of support. In addition to group therapy sessions, you’ll also be able to check in with your therapist one-on-one. Most participants stay in the aftercare program for one year, but the time can be adjusted depending on your needs.
