About Midway Recovery Systems

Midway Recovery Systems provides treatment for substance misuse. You'll find 'em located out in Griffin, Georgia. They offer a residential program that lasts 90 days for men 21 and older. After a phone interview, you’ll have an assessment to determine your physical, emotional, social, behavioral, and educational needs.

Clients are required to attend 12 Step recovery meetings that provide accountability and social interaction with others in recovery working toward long-term sobriety. You’ll also have sessions that focus on recovery skills to help you avoid substance use triggers after treatment.

After the first 30 days of treatment, you may look for a job or return to work. During this period, you may have visits with family members. Midway offers monthly family support groups to help loved ones set boundaries and be a supportive network for sobriety.

Residents help at the facility by attending to the grounds, performing community services, and housework. They partner with 5 Loaves and 2 Fish, a local food pantry in Griffin, where recovery guests help unload and distribute items to their community.

You won’t only focus on your addiction at Midway, but also on job readiness and life skills to prepare you for a successful, sober lifestyle after leaving treatment. There are recreational activities to keep you engaged with recovery and provide socialization.

Once you complete treatment, you may be eligible for their Extended Care Program, which allows residents to stay in their sober living facilities. This service provides continued structure and support while you work on independence and becoming a productive community member.

They also have an active alumni group for aftercare assistance with weekly group meetings.
